The Artist
I paint the world of Romantic Landscapes with personal expression enveloping a style of peace to all who dare venture the dusty paths. I work at my studio/gallery in Poulsbo Washington amid the lush gardens that over look Liberty Bay. This visual pleasure inspires me of the memories of being in England among the quaint historic towns and private estates. A number of my originals are set in these locations from the classic Tudor style home in “Vibrant Day in Devon” to the “Garden Conservatory at Ripley Castle in Yorkshire”. With a free flowing style between expressive and impressionism, I have been classified as a Romantic Impressionist. I was blessed to indulge in an eight month stay and study of the English Countryside. A recent visit to Germany and Austria has brought new commissions. The historic Hunters Castle (Schloss Mittersill) and other new landscapes of Europe, the Pacific NW and America the beautiful can be found in my Art Gallery. Come walk with me through my portfolio as I offer the impressionist traditions: full of subtle tones of the ancient venues, yet vibrant with fresh color and inviting movement. My love of art, paralleling seventeen years as a professional interior designer lead me to the inevitable career of painting. Many years of design have enhanced an understanding for the necessity of works of art as a balance for both the aesthetic and life’s expression. Having worked exclusively on custom interior design projects positively influenced my understanding for commission paintings. As the author of a recent children’s book, I am currently designing and illustrating for publication. I am available and have been successful with numerous painting for commissioned clients throughout the United States. Art & Education
